(12-18” tall x 12-18” wide) White Flame® Dwarf Garden Phlox emerges fairly early in the spring garden with bushy, deep green lanceolate foliage. In mid-summer, panicles of tubular white flowers top this sun-loving native perennial. Bred for its compact size and increased mildew resistance, White Flame® Dwarf Garden Phlox is no less stunning in the garden than phlox twice its size. Those beautiful native flowers act as magnets for pollinators and allow gardeners with smaller gardens to enjoy traditional phlox abundance without the staking – or size! Plant White Flame® Dwarf Garden Phlox in a sunny position in moisture retentive but well-draining soils near the front of a garden bed. Phlox are heavy feeders and appreciate rich soil and occasional fertilizing. White Flame® Dwarf Garden Phlox can be planted in a part-sun location, but blooming will be reduced. When flower panicles fade, swiftly remove them to encourage the plant to continue producing blossoms, and cut the entire plant back in the late autumn or early spring to prepare for next year’s show.
