The Treasured Trillium Collection includes five different varieties of native trillium, all ready to spread and multiply in your shady setting. Found in the woodlands of North American, three-petaled trillium flowers are lauded as one of the earliest signs of spring. To mimic their perfect conditions outside of the woods, give them plenty of rich soil amended with compost and rotted leaves and keep them moist.
Remember that they emerge and bloom before the trees have completely filled out with leaves, but prefer full shade after their blooms have officially passed for the season; this is especially important in southern regions where they need more shade and protection from any exposure to afternoon sun. Trillium are often found in wetlands and will need extra water throughout their first few seasons and at planting time. Like all woodland perennials, they are slow-moving and may take their time naturalizing an area, but are low-maintenance plants once established.
Our Tresured Trillium Collection is roughly 5' x 4' and contains 15 plants:
White Trillium (Wake Robin) - 3 plants
Red Trillium (Wake Robin) - 3 plants
Painted Trillium (Wake Robin) - 3 plants
Yellow Trillium (Wake Robin) - 3 plants
Rose Trillium (Wake Robin) - 3 plants
