(24-44" tall) Our Southern Peach Dahlia Collection is a great way to make a colorful impact in the summer garden. Whether your intent is a colorful garden bed or to fill your home with beautiful bouquets, this collection does it all. 'Jowey Nicky' Ball Dahlia (24-36" tall) offers sweet golden-peach blossoms up to 4 inches across, that make lovely bouquets. ‘American Dawn’ Decorative Dahlia (24-36" tall) has petal-packed blossoms in a saturated coral-pink with violet-tinted centers – a show-stopping star that’s guaranteed to please. ‘Penhill Watermelon’ Dinner Plate Dahlia (36-44" tall) sports huge blooms up to 12 inches across, with loose twisty petals in creamy peach to add a touch of romance to the collection. Plant them in a sunny location with the taller plants towards the back of a bed. Mix them into a bed of summer to fall blooming perennials where they will add fresh, warm tones to the color display, or group them for an impactful arrangement of the many shades and textures of peach. They are excellent as cut flowers too – cutting and deadheading stimulates more flowers, so don’t hold back! Dahlias are perennial in zones 8-10. In cooler zones, they may be dug and stored in a cool, dark place after the first frost, then re-planted the following spring.
